If you ever thought serging was too stressful, time consuming & or difficult, you need to try the Baby Lock Imagine Wave Serger, model BLE3ATW! This is the EASIEST serger I have EVER used! Here's some information about how the Imagine overcomes the normal difficulties encountered in serging-
1. Threading the serger- Normally this is the first nightmare in serging, but Baby Lock engineers patented first 'Jet air threading', then, the Imagine literally threads itself, the jet air threading threads the loopers, then a built in needle threader threads the needles! What could be easier & faster? Not only that, but the engineers at Baby Lock have somehow figured out how to make the fabric feed more evenly, whether you are guiding it with your hands or not! I LOVE this feature, because it makes my sewing look much more professional!
2. Sergers can sew several different types of stitches, but that requires the operator of the serger to set the thread tension for 3 or 4 threads at a time, in order to make the serger sew one specific type of stitch or another. Serging & overlocking typically use 3 or 4 threads at a time, & a change to any one thread's tension, or a change in the stitch width or stitch length, affects the other threads, requiring you to adjust their tension again as well! Even changing from a light fabric to a heavy fabric normally requires you to make several adjustments, but not the Baby Lock Imagine! It has several specially patented processes that work together to make the Imagine the EASIEST SERGER TO CHANGE FABRIC OR CHANGE STITCHES! All you have to do to change from one stitch to another, is to flip a switch, and it's ready to sew the new stitch! 3. Rolled hemming is a snap with the Imagine. No need to change any parts or add anything extra, (no need to worry about losing extra parts) the rolled hemming is built right in, so you literally turn a knob to change from overlocking to rolled hemming- it couldn't be simpler!
4. Many sergers require special expensive needles, but your Baby Lock Imagine uses ordinary Household Needles HAx1SP 130/705H ELx705CF.
