Dual Universal Sewing Machine Hingepins Compound Hinge for Sewing Machines!

Attaching sewing machine heads to sewing tables, can be a pain, if you don't find them already together. Different brands of sewing machines had different sizes of beds, as well as having their hinge pin holes at different spacing, so you had to buy the table from the same place you bought the machine, when they were new.

Now that these machines are all VINTAGE or ANTIQUE, if a machine has been separated from it's original desk, you may not be able to find a table locally, in which to mount the sewing machine. The heavier sewing machines REALLY need to be in a table, or at the very least, a case, usually, and hingepins are very important for this!

These Compound Hinge For Attaching Sewing Machine Heads to Sewing Tables (patent description) came with a Kenmore 1703, in a desk, which had been left out in the North Carolina rain, for a couple of years, so the table was toast! Luckily, the machine was protected, so we were able to save it, but we also rescued the hardware which it had been installed with, which included these very unusual Compound Hinges! They are apparently attached to the underside of the table, and a small rectangle is cut out of the table at the back, to allow the hinges to fold up, when the machine is installed in the table for use.
