Kenmore Low Shank Center Homing Needle Sewing Machines that use regular WALKING FOOT

Many people want a well built, vintage, all metal, mechanical sewing machine, which can use a standard low shank walking foot, especially for quilting, sewing knits, and sewing difficult fabrics. The super high shank Kenmore models require a specialty super high shank walking foot, with a special adapter screw to operate the fork, which operates the walking foot, because Kenmore switched to using a needle holder that uses a flat screw, which requires a screwdriver, to change the needles, on their luxury sewing machines, for some crazy reason! (To make you buy their walking foot, most likely, but they are hard to find, and expensive, second hand, now, in 2020.)

(I am STILL compiling this list, it is not complete, November 2, 2020 you may add your model in the comments, if it fits this criteria.)

This is a list of the Kenmore sewing machine models that have these features-

The needle holder with the thumbscrew, is essential to using the walking foot, because the fork of the walking foot must attach to this screw, to move the walking foot, and make it work. This is a standard low shank walking foot, which I have used on the 1753.

LOW SHANK

CENTER HOMING NEEDLE (if the walking foot has a zigzag opening this isn't as important as long as your needle won't hit the presser foot, while sewing straight stitches.)
