Kenmore Sewing Machine Sewing Lesson stitch samples
As it competed with the Singer company for sewing machine sales, Sears began offering sewing lessons for buyers of Kenmore sewing machines, even offering a children's sewing book.
I recently acquired a Sears Kenmore 158.902 which happened to have the stitch samples with it, all bundled together. I was thrilled that they actually match the stitch sample illustrations in the 90 manual, as well as the illustrated sewing instruction cards, that came with the feet manufactured and sold with the Kenmore sewing machines, in the Sew By Color set!

Sewing stretch knit velour velvet with roller foot and size 14 ballpoint jersey needle. My g4anddaughter's storebought stretch velour dress, had tore the seam holding the ruffled skirt, I resewed it with a zigzag stitch. Different knits sew better, with different presser feet. Roller foot, walking foot, Teflon foot, Q foot, regular zigzag foot, choose what works best for each fabric.
