New Home 535 by Janome
New Home 535 by Janome is an ordinary, inexpensive straight stitch machine, which CAN BE TREADLED!
I used it as a treadle, but then put the motor back on, and put it in a small table, before selling it.

NOT HEAVY DUTY, NOT SEMI INDUSTRIAL, as some sellers pretend, it is much weaker than the early all metal model it is a copy of, the metal mechanicals are much thinner, and weaker, than the earlier model it is based on.
WARNING- when the stitch width (or stitch length at longest, or shortest stitch, I can't remember exact details, it was many years ago) is at the widest setting, the internal positioning allows this models stitch length/reverse mechanism to flip, doing a sumersault, so it only sews in reverse! The reverse button gets stuck in, when it flips.
It can be easily put back in position (either stitch length, or stitch width, at the longest, or shortest stitch length, allows the spring in the reverse to flip upside down, inside), but ONLY if you know this happens.
